The library has many books to help you with your college selection and financial aid needs. Most of these books are available to checkout, however we do have a College & Career table with many helpful reference books that can be used for research within the library only.
Here are just some of the College & Scholarship titles available to help get you started:

Language Learning Help
- Mango Languagesis an online language learning system available for FREE to everyone. Learn at your own pace with a suite of features that make language learning more engaging and fun. You will need to sign up for your own account using your e-mail address. Languages covered are: Spanish, Russian, French, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, German, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Greek, English for Spanish Speakers, & English for Polish Speakers.
- The Library also has many language learning books and audio kits available to checkout.

Education Programs @ the Library
- Our Literacy & Outreach Services Department offers adult literacy programs and homework tutoring.
- The Riverbend Community Math Center, in partnership with the Literacy & Outreach Services Department, will be offering free math clinics at the Main Library.
- -Free Math Homework Clinic open to students of all ages on Wednesday afternoons. (Notre Dame students staff the Math Homework Clinic on Sunday afternoons.)
- -Free Family Math activities on most Saturday mornings from Noon to 2:00 p.m.

- Our Children's Department has educational programs and storytimes for kids. Try the following website for more information.

Local Adult Education Programs
- Battell Community Center
- Forever Learning Institute offers educational classes on a variety of topics for adults 50 years or older.
- Indiana University of South Bend Continuing Education
- Ivy Tech- Continuing Education
- Penn-Harris-Madison Community Education
- SBCSC Adult Education Department offers adult basic education/GED preparation classes open to Indiana residents 16 years or older and not currently enrolled in a regular K-12 program.
- WorkOne Center provides classes in reading, math, and grammar to assist clients in preparing for the GED test.
